General Information

The counselor can be reached by phone, email, or Schoology.

Yes, your child can speak to the School Counselor.  You or your child can contact the School Counselor by phone, email, or Schoology.  The School Counselor will respond to all phone calls/messages/emails during school hours within a 24-48 hour time period unless emergent concerns arise that delay response time.  The Counselor may respond to academic concerns through email or Schoology messages.  If a phone call is needed, the counselor may call you or your student.  The counselor may also schedule a Virtual Schoology Conference with you or your student to best suit the needs of your request. 

Yes, your child can speak to the School Counselor.  On-Campus Learners can request to speak to the School Counselor by making a request through their classroom teachers or by self-referral to the School Counselor in person.  Parents of On-Campus Learners can also make a request for their child to speak to the School Counselor by phone, email, or Schoology message.  The School Counselor will respond to all phone calls/messages/emails during school hours within a 48-hour time period unless emergent concerns arise that delay response time. 

Parents can contact the School Counselor by messaging them on Schoology, by sending them an email, or by calling the campus.

An At- Home Learner can get support in numerous ways depending on the needs of the student or parent.  A student can correspond with the School Counselor via Schoology messages or conferencing.  A student can have scheduled time to speak with the counselor by telephone.  The student can also have an appointment to come into the office to speak with the School Counselor in person. 

On-Campus learners can have a scheduled time for in person support from the School Counselor.  The student can also receive support through Schoology messages as needed.

504 meetings will be held either in person or through phone conference.  Annual reviews will be held on an as needed basis.  Three-year Re-evaluations will be held based on the student’s qualification date.  When the 504 meeting is scheduled, you will be notified as to whether it will be conducted in person or by phone conference.

If you believe your student might qualify for 504 services, you should contact the School Counselor.  The School Counselor will then discuss your concerns and the 504 process.
